Our mission is centered on our motto, “Doing Life Together,” as we encourage one another to grow deeper in our relationship with Christ every day.We are a welcoming church where people of all ages and backgrounds can find connection, purpose, and hope. Through two different styles of worship, prayer, service, and discipleship, we strive to share the love of Jesus both inside our church and throughout our community.Whether you are new to faith or have followed Christ for years, there is a place for you here. We invite you to join us as we grow together and follow God’s calling for our lives.

WHAT WE BELIEVE:

Authority of Scripture: The Bible is God’s Word and is the highest authority for what Christians believe and how they live. Christians in the Global Methodist Church believe that God inspired the writers of Scripture through the Holy Spirit. Because of this, the Bible teaches truth about who God is, who we are, and how we can be saved through Jesus Christ. Scripture helps guide Christians in faith, worship, morality, and daily living. While traditions, reason, and personal experience can help us understand faith, they must always be tested against the truth of the Bible. Christians do not stand above Scripture; instead, Scripture stands above us and teaches us. The Bible is made up of the Old Testament and the New Testament, and together they tell the story of God’s love and salvation for the world through Jesus.

The Trinity: Christians in the Global Methodist Church believe in one God who exists eternally as three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This is called the Trinity. The Father is God, the Son (Jesus Christ) is God, and the Holy Spirit is God. They are not three separate gods, but one God in three Persons. Each Person of the Trinity is fully God, equal in power, glory, and holiness, yet each has a distinct role. The Father created and loves the world. The Son became human in Jesus Christ to save us from sin. The Holy Spirit lives in believers, helping them follow God and grow in faith. The Trinity shows God’s perfect love and relationship within Himself. Even though the word “Trinity” is not found in the Bible, the teaching comes from many passages where the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are shown together as God. Christians are baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and believers pray and worship the one true God revealed in these three Persons.

Jesus Christ: Christians in the Global Methodist Church believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior of the world. He is fully God and fully human. Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary through the power of the Holy Spirit and lived a perfect, sinless life. Jesus came to reveal God’s love, teach the truth, heal the broken, and save people from sin. Even though He never sinned, He willingly died on the cross to take the punishment for our sins so we could be forgiven and restored to God. Three days after His death, Jesus rose bodily from the grave, defeating sin and death. He later ascended into heaven and now reigns with the Father. Christians believe that one day Jesus will return again to judge the world and fully establish God’s kingdom. Salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone. By trusting in Him, people receive forgiveness, new life, and the promise of eternal life with God.

Salvation: Christians in the Global Methodist Church believe that salvation is God’s gift of rescuing people from sin and giving them new life through Jesus Christ. Sin separates people from God, but because of God’s love and grace, He made a way for us to be forgiven and restored through the death and resurrection of Jesus. Salvation begins with God’s grace. God reaches out to people before they even realize they need Him, drawing them toward faith. When a person repents of sin and trusts in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, they are forgiven, made right with God, and spiritually born again. Salvation is not only about going to heaven one day. It is also about being changed by God now. Through the Holy Spirit, believers grow in holiness, love, obedience, and Christlike character. Christians continue to trust God daily as He transforms their hearts and lives. Those who remain in faith in Christ have the promise of eternal life with God forever.

The Holy Spirit: Christians in the Global Methodist Church believe that the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity, fully God along with the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit is not just a force or feeling, but God Himself actively working in the world and in the lives of believers. The Holy Spirit helps people recognize their sin and their need for Jesus Christ. When a person trusts in Christ, the Holy Spirit comes to live within them, giving them new spiritual life and helping them grow in faith. The Holy Spirit comforts, guides, teaches, and strengthens believers. He helps Christians understand God’s Word, pray, obey God, and become more like Jesus. The Spirit also gives spiritual gifts to believers so they can serve others and build up the Church. The Holy Spirit produces spiritual fruit in a believer’s life, such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and self-control. Christians are called to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit daily.

Sanctification: Christians in the Global Methodist Church believe that sanctification is the ongoing work of God that makes believers more holy and more like Jesus Christ. After a person is saved, God does not leave them unchanged. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, He continues to transform their heart, mind, and actions. Sanctification means growing in love for God and for others. Christians learn to turn away from sin and live in obedience to God. This growth happens over time through prayer, reading Scripture, worship, repentance, fellowship with other believers, and trusting the Holy Spirit. In the Wesleyan tradition of the Global Methodist Church, sanctification is especially important. Christians believe God not only forgives sin but also works to cleanse the believer’s heart and shape them into a life of holy love. This does not mean Christians become perfect or never make mistakes, but it does mean God truly changes people from the inside out. Sanctification is both a lifelong journey and a work of God’s grace. Believers continue growing in faith until the day they are fully with Christ.

Blood Atonement (Atonement of Jesus Christ) Christians in the Global Methodist Church believe that Jesus Christ made full atonement for sin through His death on the cross and the shedding of His blood. “Atonement” means that Jesus restored the broken relationship between God and humanity caused by sin. Because sin brings spiritual death and separation from God, the Bible teaches that forgiveness requires the giving of life. In the Old Testament, sacrifices using blood symbolized the seriousness of sin and pointed forward to the perfect sacrifice that would come in Jesus Christ. These sacrifices could not fully remove sin, but they prepared God’s people to understand what Christ would do. Jesus is the perfect and final sacrifice. He willingly gave His life and shed His blood so that sinners could be forgiven and made right with God. His death was once for all—completely sufficient to cover every sin for everyone who believes in Him. Through His blood, believers are cleansed, forgiven, and brought into a new covenant with God. The atonement shows both God’s justice and His love: justice, because sin is taken seriously; love, because God Himself provided the way of salvation through Jesus.

Sacraments: Christians in the Global Methodist Church believe that sacraments are special acts given by Jesus Christ that use physical signs to communicate spiritual grace. In the Wesleyan tradition, sacraments are called “means of grace,” meaning they are ways God works in believers’ lives to strengthen faith and draw people closer to Him. The Church recognizes two sacraments that Jesus directly commanded: Baptism and Holy Communion. These sacraments do not save people by themselves, but God uses them to remind believers of His promises, nurture faith, and encourage obedience to Christ.

Holy Communion: Holy Communion, also called the Lord’s Supper or Eucharist, is the sacrament in which Christians remember and celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ through bread and the cup. Christians in the Global Methodist Church believe that Jesus is truly present in Holy Communion in a spiritual way. The bread and cup do not literally become Jesus’ body and blood, but through the Holy Spirit, Christ meets believers at His table with grace, forgiveness, strength, and spiritual nourishment. Holy Communion reminds Christians of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, celebrates the new covenant, unites believers together, and points forward to the future kingdom of God. Christians are encouraged to come to the table with repentance, faith, gratitude, and love for others. The Global Methodist Church practices an “open table,” meaning all who sincerely seek Jesus Christ and desire to follow Him are invited to receive Communion.

Baptism: Baptism is the sacrament of initiation into the Christian faith and the Church. Christians in the Global Methodist Church believe baptism is a sign of God’s grace, forgiveness, and new life in Jesus Christ. Through baptism, believers publicly identify with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Baptism symbolizes cleansing from sin and becoming part of God’s family. The Church baptizes in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Global Methodist Church practices both infant baptism and believer’s baptism. Infant baptism reflects God’s grace reaching people before they can respond on their own, while believer’s baptism allows those old enough to profess faith publicly. In either case, personal faith in Jesus Christ is necessary as a person grows and follows Him. Baptism may be done by sprinkling, pouring, or immersion because the focus is on God’s grace and promise rather than the amount of water used. If you are considering baptism or want to learn more, you are encouraged to visit your church’s contact page or speak with a pastor or church leader. They can help you understand baptism and walk with you through the next steps.

Humanity and Sin: Christians in the Global Methodist Church believe that all people are created by God in His image. This means every human life has dignity, value, and purpose. People were created to know God, love Him, and live in relationship with Him and others. However, the Bible teaches that all humanity has been affected by sin. Sin is anything that goes against God’s will—such as disobedience, selfishness, pride, and unbelief. Because of sin, every person is separated from God and unable to fix that separation on their own. Sin entered the world through the fall of humanity, and its effects include broken relationships, suffering, and spiritual death. Even though people still reflect God’s image, that image is damaged by sin. This is why all people need God’s grace and salvation through Jesus Christ. The good news of the gospel is that God does not leave humanity in sin. Through Jesus Christ, God offers forgiveness, healing, and restoration so that people can be made new and live in right relationship with Him again.

Eternal Life Christians in the Global Methodist Church believe that eternal life is the gift of living forever with God through Jesus Christ. It begins the moment a person places their faith in Jesus and continues beyond physical death into eternity. Eternal life is not only about length of life, but also about the quality of life with God. It means being fully restored in relationship with Him, free from sin, suffering, pain, and death. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, believers are promised new, resurrected life in God’s presence. Those who trust in Jesus Christ have the assurance that death is not the end. At the return of Christ, believers will be raised with glorified bodies and will live forever in the new heaven and new earth, where God will dwell with His people. Eternal life is a gift of grace, not something earned. It is received through faith in Jesus Christ alone and is secured by God’s faithfulness.

The Church Christians in the Global Methodist Church believe that the Church is the community of all people who trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. The Church is not just a building or a weekly service; it is God’s people joined together through faith in Christ. Jesus established the Church to continue His work in the world. Christians gather together to worship God, learn His Word, pray, encourage one another, and serve others. The Church is meant to be a spiritual family where believers grow in faith and love. The Church also shares the message of the Gospel with the world so that others may come to know Jesus Christ. Christians believe the Church should reflect God’s truth, grace, holiness, and love in both word and action.

Methodist Heritage Christians in the Global Methodist Church understand themselves as part of the wider Methodist tradition that began in the 1700s through the ministry of John Wesley and others. Methodist heritage is centered on a simple but powerful idea: God’s grace is for everyone, and that grace can transform a person’s whole life. From the beginning, Methodists emphasized that faith in Jesus Christ should not only be believed but also lived out. This includes growing in holiness, loving God, and loving neighbors through practical acts of mercy and service. Wesley often described this as “faith working through love.” Methodist heritage also highlights the importance of personal spiritual growth and disciplined Christian living. Early Methodists were organized into small groups where believers prayed together, studied Scripture, confessed sin, and encouraged one another. This helped Christians grow stronger in faith and accountability. Another key part of Methodist heritage is the belief in God’s “prevenient grace,” meaning God is already at work in every person’s life before they even turn to Him. This reflects the strong emphasis on God’s initiative in salvation. The Global Methodist Church continues this heritage by holding to historic Christian beliefs, valuing Scripture, and emphasizing discipleship, holiness, and mission in the world.

The Second Coming of Christ Christians in the Global Methodist Church believe that Jesus Christ will return to earth again in the future. His return will be real, visible, and personal. When He comes again, He will bring God’s kingdom to its full completion. At His return, Jesus will judge the world with perfect justice. Those who belong to Christ will be raised to eternal life, and God will make a new heaven and new earth where there is no more sin, suffering, or death. Believers are called to live in readiness, faithfulness, and hope as they wait for His coming.

Heaven and Hell Christians in the Global Methodist Church believe that every person will spend eternity either in the presence of God or separated from Him. Heaven is eternal life with God, where there is no pain, sin, or death. It is a place of joy, peace, and perfect fellowship with God through Jesus Christ. Hell is eternal separation from God for those who reject Him and refuse His salvation. The Bible teaches both realities clearly, and God desires that all people come to repentance and be saved.

Repentance and Faith Christians in the Global Methodist Church believe that the proper response to the gospel is repentance and faith. Repentance means turning away from sin and choosing to follow God. Faith means trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. When a person repents and believes, they receive forgiveness of sins, new life in Christ, and the gift of the Holy Spirit. Salvation is not earned by works, but it is received by turning from sin and trusting in Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Christian Living (Holiness of Life) Christians in the Global Methodist Church believe that following Jesus changes how a person lives every day. God calls His people to live holy, loving, and obedient lives that reflect His character. Christian living includes loving God, loving others, resisting sin, and growing in Christlike character. This is not done by human effort alone, but by the power of the Holy Spirit working within believers. Christians are called to be “set apart” from the world in values and behavior while still showing love and compassion to everyone.

Spiritual Gifts and Service Christians in the Global Methodist Church believe that the Holy Spirit gives every believer spiritual gifts to serve others and build up the Church. These gifts are different for each person, but all are important. Some teach, some encourage, some serve, some lead, and others show mercy. No gift is greater than another, and all are needed in the body of Christ. Believers are called to use their gifts in love, humility, and service so that the Church can grow and God can be glorified.

The Role of Pastors Christians in the Global Methodist Church believe that pastors are called by God to serve as spiritual leaders, shepherds, and teachers within the Church. The role of a pastor is not about power or status, but about humble service under the authority of Jesus Christ, who is the true head of the Church. Pastors are called to preach and teach God’s Word, care for the spiritual needs of the congregation, provide guidance and encouragement, pray for the people, and help equip believers to grow in faith and serve in ministry. In this way, pastors help the Church remain faithful to Scripture and focused on its mission. The calling to pastoral ministry is understood to be a calling from God, confirmed by the Church through prayer, discernment, and ordination. Pastors are accountable to God and to the Church as they lead. The Global Methodist Church also affirms that God calls both women and men into pastoral ministry. Throughout Scripture and Church history, God has used both women and men in leadership, teaching, and ministry roles. This reflects the biblical truth that all believers are one in Christ and are gifted by the Holy Spirit according to God’s will, not human limitation. Both male and female pastors are called to faithfully serve, preach the gospel, and shepherd God’s people. Pastors are therefore servants of Christ and His Church, called to lead with humility, integrity, and love.

Marriage Christians in the Global Methodist Church believe that marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God and established in Scripture. It is not only a social agreement, but a holy union in which a man and a woman are joined together by God to become one in life, love, and purpose. Marriage is intended to reflect God’s faithful love and the relationship between Christ and the Church. It is meant to be a lifelong commitment of love, trust, and faithfulness. Within marriage, husband and wife are called to love, serve, and honor one another, practicing mutual respect, sacrifice, and unity. God designed marriage for companionship, for the flourishing of families, and for the raising of children in the knowledge and love of the Lord. Because marriage is a covenant, it is meant to be honored and protected, not treated lightly or broken casually. Christians are called to live in purity, faithfulness, and holiness within marriage, and to seek God’s grace when relationships are struggling. Where brokenness exists, God offers forgiveness, healing, and restoration through Jesus Christ.
