In the Bible, the Ark was a place of refuge, a vehicle to navigate through the storms. In a similar way, this weekly gathering is a place for imperfect, real people to connect and discover how to make our way through real life with practical teaching, engaging music, and great friends, all in a modern environment where you can encounter Jesus. It's a place to belong, a place to become, and a group of people seeking a better way. Join us every Sunday at 11AM!

I AM
Who are you? What do you do? These are questions of identity that often bleed into questions of value and worth. What if Jesus could tell us for Himself who He truly is and what He is all about? The good news is He did! He gave us a peek into His heart in what are called the "I AM" statements. The surprising thing however is how pivotal these statements are to us understanding who WE are and what life is really all about.

We know that church is less about the "program" and more about the people! So, we provide multiple avenues and opportunities to connect and create friendships even on a Sunday morning!
COFFEE CAFE
Each week you'll find a warm and inviting atmosphere in our coffee café. We brew Caribou Coffee from Minnesota (where our pastor is from!). We have a weekly variety of treats for both your kids and for you. Comfy couches and high tables provide places to meet with old and new friends and enjoy conversation before the service. We recommend coming 5-10 minutes early to enjoy the café.
INTERACTIVE SERVICES
We don't believe in putting on a show for you to watch (you can do that online!) We believe those who attend in person should be rewarded with an experience you can't get online. Our services encourage participation whether in the music, messages, responses and worship stations. We love to laugh and enjoy experiencing the service with you. Our comfy chairs and open atmosphere give us all opportunity to engage in meaningful ways.

AT THE ARK
Groups
This is an ever expanding area that is under construction. However, we currently have a few groups that meet on Sunday mornings before The Ark (9:45-10:45am).
And we have two semesters of classes on Wednesday nights. Wednesdays provide a great experience for your kids if you have them and for you. A variety of topics form the background of your time where you'll get to meet new people, connect in authentic ways and be yourself. Check the all-church schedules for our next set of classes.
Teams
Make a difference! We have various teams you can join which provide opportunity to meet people while you're making a difference! It's the best way we've found to make this place yours!
Meet Pastor Jason
Jason grew up attending church and has been a pastor for over 30 years in New Jersey, Illinois, and Minnesota. He's also the author of several books and coaches leaders, executives, and entrepreneurs on dealing with stress and anxiety. He is excited to connect with the people of Northport and Tuscaloosa bringing his signature sense of humor and real-life conversational approach to our contemporary service called "The Ark."
