Wednesday Nights at Saint Mark!

Go deeper with God and others from Saint Mark as a part of our midweek nights. A great next step from our Sunday services – open to anyone!

Every week will feature an all-church meal at 5pm in the Family Life Center where both service styles can mix and mingle before attending the environment of choice which begins at 6pm. (Cost for meal is $7 for adults and $5 for children. Call the Church Office at 205-339-5990 to make a dinner reservation.)

Wednesday Night Small Groups (Aug. 27, 2025 - Nov. 19, 2025)

As we continue to experiment with a variety of environments, all our groups are intended to build friendships and discuss how to live out our faith in your everyday. Some will discuss how to apply the weekly sermon while others will study a section of the Bible or a Christian living topic.

Bible Study Class

Facilitator: Bo Lloyd – “Quest for Holiness: From Shallow Belief to Mature Believer”—
• Be challenged with questions like, “What does it really mean to be a
follower of Jesus?”
• Dive deeper into the foundational truth that you are being created in
the image of God.
• Embrace the transforming reality of the presence of God in your life.

Bible Study Class

Facilitator: Jeremiah Wilson—"The Quest for Holiness— From Deadly Sin To Divine Virtue”—Join us as we explore what it means to have the ungodly nature within us transformed into the image of God. We will look at our inclination for the seven vices and how the work of Christ in our lives grows toward the seven virtues. This class is open to all who are interested and have a desire to grow in their understanding of Christ’s transforming work in our lives.

Bible Study Class

Facilitator: Ashleigh Newman/Mahalia Barrow – “Wednesday Women—The Names of God” – Join us as we dive into the meaning of the names of God and Jesus through daily Bible study, reflection, and prayer. This group is designed for women ages 20 to 45 looking to grow in their faith while building real, lasting community with others in a similar season. Come as you are and bring a friend – we’d love to walk alongside you!

Bible Study Class

Facilitators: Mark Lacey – “God’s Plan for Your Life—It’s Not What You Think!”—So often when we think about and want to know more about God’s plan for our life we naturally turn to our life’s work. What has God called me to specifically? How has God gifted me to fulfill His calling upon my life? Yet, God’s plan for our life is far greater than the 40-50 years we will spend in our career, profession, or vocation. God’s plan for our life is the means by which God’s will and God’s purpose will be made complete. God’s plan for your life involves finding purpose

Bible Study Class

Facilitators: Becky Brown/Kayla Brown – “Ruth & Esther”— RUTH: Ruth is packed with grace and truth for every season of life. It is a reminder that God is present in the waiting and the ordinary. It is full of gospel-hope that God is working behind the scenes in ways we could never imagine to sovereignly and providentially bring about His good plan for his people. This is not your ordinary study of Ruth. This is not just about a love story between Ruth and Boaz but about the ultimate love story between God and His people. ESTHER Seeing God When He is Silent: Where is God when we cannot seem to hear or see Him? He is with us. He is working providently in all things to accomplish His plans and purposes. And nowhere do we see this more clearly than in the book of Esther.
